Who's to blame for my addiction

Postby xceptnl » Wed Dec 14, 2011 4:01 pm

I was looking back thru my collection of BM folders and I saw a trend that leads me to believe that they are to blame for my Spydie addiction...

BM 630
BM 800
BM 635
BM 806

Does anyone else see the trend in my buying habits? I didn't even see them at the time, but I can see that a seed was planted in my mind.

Society is to blame.
Our reason is quite satisfied, in 999 cases out of every 1000 of us, if we can find a few arguments that will do to recite in case our credulity is criticized by someone else. Our faith is faith in someone else's faith, and in the greatest matters this is most the case.
- William James, from The Will to Believe, a guest lecture at Yale University in 1897

My knive addiction started with watching tv shows like man vs wild, dual survival, etc. I got interested in survival/bushcraft and self defense methods. After 1 year i bought 20 knives from different brands like Böker, Fällkniven, cold steel, crkt and spyderco.(i think, it's late and i'm drinking a glass of martini rosso). I've spend allready a couple of thousand euros on my knives. I have 1 spyderco civilian, 3 spyderco's poliwog g10, 2 spyderco's khukri and i'm waiting for my spyderco volpe to arrive from Germany.

My current EDC knives are the poliwog and khukuri.

Blame it on the bossa nOva
With its magic spell
Blame it on the bossa nOva
That she did so well
O it all began with just one little dance
But soon it ended up a big rOmance
Blame it on the bossa nOva
The dance of love.....
