Manix 2 XL Sprint Steel Poll
What Manix 2 XL sprint steels do you want to see, I think something with higher toughness would be a good compliment to this model like 3V, Elmax or M4.

I wouldn't mind a sprint in M4.... Though it has to be after the CF S90V Manbug sprint.

I listed 3V but 52100 or CPM M4 would also be great for me. I don't recall any production folder ever made in 52100. Pretty much everything else has been done before somewhere. I have a 3V strider SMF for example.
I like every steel on that list. I just like some more than others.

I have the M4 Manix2 now. It is great. I didn't vote because I don't know enough about different steels to have an opinion. But, since there is already an M4 model out I guess a sprint Manix2 with a steel not used yet on Manix2 knives should be considered. Just a thought. The M4 model is still listed on bento box so it may be available for a while. I don't know if they aren't selling fast or if they keep getting more, but they still have them listed. I think the price is a little high not because the knife isn't worth $153.95 but just comparing it to the GB which you can get for less. The GB has CF scales which I'd think would drive the price above G-10. But maybe since only one site is selling them has something to do with the price. I bought mine and haven't regretted it once. I believe the Manix2 is one knife that sets the standard and sets it high (IMO).michaelm466 wrote:What Manix 2 XL sprint steels do you want to see, I think something with higher toughness would be a good compliment to this model like 3V, Elmax or M4.

If it is S90V, I will have to get a matching five to equal these:

I have been relying on Manix2 sprints to introduce me to new steels. I got M4 and XHP this way, and would be happy to get the mystical S90V, 3V, and Elmax the same way.
I, too, would like the imagined sprint(s) to come 4mm thick. I marvel at how much of a wedge my new Superleaf's blade is. Yet it slices so nicely.
