Hi there! I am new to the forum, too. Didn't find where I can introduce myself.
I am very happy to be here. Just bought my second "Spyderco" knife. Love it

Welcome SopfCA! It's a pretty cool place.

What did you end up getting?

AUS-6 is a pretty old piece.

Probably best to post in General.

I love the spirit of the knife community in general, most of the decent folks here, Spyderco as a company... I just wish every SINGLE comment didn't have to be moderated.

I'm new here and missed that situation but all I can say is, sometimes these things happen. Don't let it ruin your day though as I'm sure there's still plenty of good people here. Hi btw, I'm new here and just wanted to say hello.
I'm u/Up_vote_McSkrote on reddit's Knife_Swap sub, hit me up if you're ever there as I'm always down to talk knives. 🙃

This thread kind of breaks my heart. I’m a Spyderco-for-life guy purely from what I’ve seen here at this forum. That someone would take advantage of that is both disheartening and infuriating. To whomever was mislead, your kindness will be rewarded, and to whomever betrayed the kindness of strangers, may you learn your lesson. That is all.

A friend of mine, an old retired veteran, had never seen a Spyderco and didn't know what a good knife was. He had a big folder, but he didn't have a pocket knife. I bought him a black Dragonfly 2. He was so thrilled. He said it was the sharpest knife he's ever seen! He carries it everywhere, now, even sitting around the house. He said it is the most useful knife.

Many of our retired Vets don't have a lot of income and are living just above poverty level. Let's not forget them.

Else, wherefore born?" (Tennyson)

Some very kind stories here - Thanks to all who pay it forward and realize that we can never know what someone is truly going through.

Still a great place to be and it's not gonna change. Treat others like you want to be treated, regardless. :)
Thanks, Kristi.

- best wishes, Jazz.
