On riveted handles with metal liners and knife care

Post by KardinalSyn »

I have a small question.

When a knife handle that's riveted in place and contains metal liners, the exposed area can be applied with a small coating of oil to protect it. But what about the surface that's covered by the handle? I think G10 allows for oil to seep through. FRN, does not I think.

Since the knife can't be taken apart, what do you all do when clean and oil your knife/knives?

Thanks in advance.
