I see a 20% discount using the code "fallsale". Is there another sale?

Also, PF's prices are high enough that the discount might bring the price down enough to think about but shipping on the last sale was about $16 I think. Definately something to look at if you want to buy a few knives. The shipping will eat up the discount on only one knife depending on price of course. The last sale they had that I know of I wanted to get 3 Sage 1 knives but they ran out of stock. They said when they get more I could get them at the discount price. When they got some the "normal" price had gone up about $10 per knife and they wanted to give me a discount at that price I think. The total they quoted was higher than the original so I declined. No hard feelings. I could have gotten 3 from cutleryshoppe for about the same price at cutleryshoppe's normal prices.

Thanks for the tip. I've always heard good things about PF and I'm looking there right now.

I just priced a Dragonfly G-10 and subtracted 20%. The discounted price is exactly the same as the knife on CS.com.

I think we all know CS has as good a price reputation as anyone. Several other sites have higher prices but not that much higher and give great customer service also. People here have said they wanted a knife but it was out of stock at CS so they got one elsewhere. If I wanted a knife badly and soon and it was $100 on CS I'd pay $110 at another site without hesitation. The main thing is that we WANT the knife. I love that word. WANT. The only word I love more is GET. :D

I'm not trying to bad mouth PF, just letting new people to inet knife buying know. There are a few new people here and I would like for them to know about cutleryshoppe.com. They may not be new to inet shopping just because they are new to this forum of course. CS is my favorite because of great prices and service. I buy elsewhere also but I always check CS in the shopping process.

Maybe Casey's keyboard typed a 3 instead of a 2. My keyboard does things like that often. Not my fault of course.

Problem with poorfish is even with the "discount", when you add in the shipping your not saving at all.

Example: Endura FFG in green-Poorfish price is $63.99 with 30% it is $44.79. Add on $15.49 shipping the final price is $60.28. So you "saved" $3.71.

Cutlery Shoppe price is $56, nutnfancy free shipping=$56

Not much of a discount really. It all sounds good until you get to that shipping thing. Now if the shipping was Express and you got it in a few days that's one thing, but it's not. The discount only worked out once for me from there on a Military.

Poorfish deals were better when they had free shipping on orders over $75. Now they usually raise their prices before sales, and with around $13 shipping = not so good deals.

But, there can still be some good deals there.

Agreed, was about to say this. Very important to keep final price in the picture when shopping sales. PF does have some great deals occasionally and fast shipping, the price hike/discount game forces me to do math so I avoid them more than not ;) .

My experience with Poorfish was mediocre at best...super slow shipping and no communication back until I whined on their Facebook page. CS is the best of the bunch as far as I'm concerned. :D

Ups ground is $16.40, lol, good one. Why not flat rate priority?

to get e-mail with best discount code you need to like poor poorfish on facebook. Some deals still fairly good, especially on more expensive knives. Shipping cost is highway rubbery. Cannot comment anything on customer service, I didn't buy for this seller.

Jeff at CS has always taken care of business for me. Great prices and fast shipping. Needless to say, CS is saved in my favorites list. I haven't purchased from Poorfish before. Hope it's a good experience.

I was able to save a good bit on the knives I bought today. Had the Sage 1 and now a Sage 2 on the way. As bh49 said, the savings are somewhat better on the higher priced knives. Thanks Casey1 for sharing.

I prefer to just stick with CS, Howes or KW because even when they aren't the lowest prices by a couple $$, I know how their customer service and shipping is going to be, also they don't need to do 20-30% off sales to compete with places that do.
