5 of my 6 orders were cancelled. I have my fingers crossed in hopes that I will luck out on the one still standing. How's that for unreasoning optimism?

Stunts like this leave people wanting more. It might prove lucrative afterall for Spyderco and other knife vendors.
I am on the hunt for a knife, now that my order was cancelled. I'll try to be good and only order one :)

Just received my cancellation notice from Seek Gear. It doesn't look as though they will honor the mistake.

I bought 4 FRN Stretches this summer for $300 to use as gifts during a three week trip.

The order still outstanding is for 4 FRN Stretches for $115 shipped.

Got this one too.

Dear Customer,

We just launched 1 day ago on Amazon. We just found out that there was an error posting our products on Amazon and the prices listed were incorrect and horribly low, many below our wholesale price.

We need to cancel your order. You have not been charged. The stores on Amazon do not get access to your credit card info. Our store is closed until we fix this problem.

We apologize for the mishap and hope to be able to service you in the future.

Thank you for your understanding.

Are you kidding me?

Put yourself in their shoes.

Judging from the email "Simple Man" got it seems to be an honest mistake.

My orders got cancelled as well. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Besides, when was the last time we all spent so much time on this forum? :)

I'll be interested to know what prices they set when they re-open their shop. In the mean time, I'll be scanning the reputable dealers we all know and love for that special deal. :D

That's probably unfair. Everybody suspected this was a mistake on their part and leaving negative feedback won't get you your knives. I don't know what kind of company this is, but if it is a new company negative feedback could seriously affect their ability to do buisness and earn a living. When Spyderco made a mistake with the recent mules we were all understanding and supportive. I think we should be the same here.

Ok, I'll get off my soapbox now, sorry.

Don't hate the player, hate the game. Mistakes happen to everyone. Did you really expect them to lose money for you guys and be forced to go out of business?

Great American attitude ...
