I believe that is the current plan. But that plan could be different by the time we see the next millie (2 years? 3?)

Sal first mentioned that the Stop Lock was in the works about five years ago.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the Military 2 eventually come about. The stoplock definitely looks interesting. It should have the strength of the compression and axis locks in a unique design.

I suppose the relevance is that these things take time.

I'd be happy if it were a compression lock, but i understand the goal is to make a new ambidextrous lock design so that's cool.

****, I'm a lefty and I would be happy with a comp lock. When I use my Para 2, I think I would be pissed off if I had to operate it right handed.

I for one am VERY glad that it isn't a compression lock. I have tried to like them...and I can put up with it, but I will never like the compression lock. For this reason...If I need to push down on the handle with my thumb, the cutouts and tab dig right into my thumb and it is more than just a little painful. I find that really there is no position at all with the Para2 that I can push down with my thumb. Limits the knife a lot IMO. If it weren't for the great steels that we are seeing in this platform I would never ever own one. In fact I think that I might get some custom scales made for my 20CP and my S90V so that I can actually get more use out of them.

Might be a hand size issue. I never had that problem on the Para 1, Yojimbo, ATR, Lil Temp or Salsa....but I haven't handled a Para 2 yet. Either way I'm really excited for the Military 2 whenever it comes around. I'll be buying at least one, probably a more though :)

I've made some really really hard cuts with my Para 2 and never did feel the lock in the palm of my hand. I guess it's different for everybody.

Not in the palm, but when pushing down with the thumb in a saber grip.
