Since some of the knives are sticky while others seem to work fine, I suspect it has to do with the finishing process. It could be a tiny burr on the lip of the lock that sticks onto the blade. Try operating the knife under the jet of water when rinsing it, see if it works smoother. If it does, maybe a drop of oil will help.
The mind commands the body and it obeys. The mind orders itself and meets resistance.
Hi All,
I originally started this thread, and am happy to report, after the break in process, I do not notice anymore sticking!
I had a custom belt sheath in black to match the all black knife, and now I carry it daily, and have, since I originally posted this thread!
So the bottom line for me, was just to use it, ( I oil it a lot! ) and it will break in on it's own. I do suspect that the coating was the problem, but that being said, it is all better now!
Sorry for initially panicking, but I love this blade, and I wanted it to be perfect!
Now it is, and my constant companion, along with a few others! Carrying 1 knife is kind of Boeing for me, so I usually carry several. It seems that just about every day is a show and tell, so other than the Para 2, I usually rotate my other EDC's" !
Bottom line............................DO NOT PANIC IF IT INITIALLY STICKS !!!
Thanks for everyone's help and comments,
Charlie

I wouldn't panic for sticking or a tight pivot. Both will break in after a little use. After owning and EDC'ing 3 Para 2's, i would much rather have a pivot that is super tight out of the box, because the ones i've had were all *perfect* out of the box and once they broke in they developed blade play.
