M390 wood and G10
M390 wood and G10
Hello forum,
freshly finished in Europe, two wonderfully crafted M390 mule-blanks. One in black ebony and the other in ghost digicam G10.
Both handles are glued and corby-screwed. Next step is to see what this steel is up to (and ship the other to a smiling forumite :D )
Enjoy and cheers,
Tomas

Thanks, I am experimenting with woodtreatment now. I use stabilized wood, however I want to make them as 'user-proof' as possible. The ebony is lighter than the snakewood I used before and sucks in oil better.
The treatment right now is soak the handle in cooked linseed oil a couple of times and than treat it with beeswax. Any ideas?
Fact stays; G10 is most Bad MF-proof... :D
Cheers,
Tomas

Ebony is already very stable. Once oiled and waxed, it's about as "user-proof" as you can get without doing the actual "stabilizing" procedure of vacuum-treating the wood with acrylic.toomzz wrote:Thanks, I am experimenting with woodtreatment now.
