by 2016, what new sages do you want?

what type of new models?

what do you think should be gone by then?

what should spyderco have improved on your knife by then?

Well, it would be nice to have some production models in S90V and 20CP.

1. Some lime green FRN. First knife should be the Dragonfly 2
2. Some more smooth micarta scales in various colors
3. More flat grinds
4. Low rider clip options
5. Take just one of the flagship models (Delica, Endura, Military, etc.) and offer a custom shop for it--scales, clip options, steel. Charge more but get more.
6. Yearly contest for you and a friend/spouse/child to win a trip to Spyderco and have a half day with Sal and crew. (Hey, a guy can dream right?)
7. Kitchen knives
8. Release a courser set of stones for the Sharpmaker. Something between the medium dark and the diamond rods
9. Compression lock Military
10. When I retire, allow me to be the door greeter at Spyderco :D

Fewer 50/50 choils.
More 1:1 blade to handle ratio knives
More S90V (and similar)
No more skeletonized liners
At least a sprint of the C95 (maybe in S90V or 20CP)
An XL C95 :D
More lefty friendly locks (lefty versions of Frame and Compression locks)
And I would like Spyderco to do a knife in carbon steel.
More Micarta
Fewer itty bitty knives.
On the hunt for...

longer blades/shorter handles, not really fussed though.

A delica/endura 5 :D , FFG, slightly refined ergos, A finger choil (jimpped), any premium grade steel.

The sprint steels on production models.

thats all :D

I'm pretty happy with the current direction Spyderco is taking. They have the entry level knives, the regular EDC blades in different lock styles and sizes, and yearly sprints and mules too keep peoples interest, while finding out how people respond to new steels and improvements.

I'd just say what has been repeated too often. Produce bigger runs of the really hot sprints. They are fairly easy to call. Not huge runs but maybe a couple hundred more per run.

More of the same?

I'd like to see a heavier use wharnie, but maybe the Yojimbo 2 will somewhat fit that bill. I think the next in line in the "Super" knives should be a Superwharnie.

Beyond that, just keep doing what they're doing...keep refining what's already there, keep bringing in new steel types to try out. You really can't ask much more than they're already doing.
