I'm such a big fan of the hand position on my Urban, a proper choil has become part of my standard wish list.

Looking forward to the Chaparral, my one concern is precisely that I won't like going from a handle-biiased choil to a 50/50. I'll probably adjust perfectly fine, given all the other pluses for that knife, but who knows?

Hi Jim, I think you are on the right track with your idea.
Of course, it doesn't mean that all knives should be made exactly with this 75 / 25% ratio, but it would be an improvement for certain models.

I like the choils but I wish they were optional to use rather than mandatory.

As I said earlier, I don't find myself using the choils. But I love having the option there. Don't get rid of the choils sal!
