Unless there is something in the works that I am not aware of, I don't know of any history between the two companies. I looked through my copy of 'The Spyderco Story' and still came up with nothing....

Randall has one dealer in each state. Joe Davis was the Randall dealer in Colorado for a zillion years. I nagged Gary about a dealership for many years. When Joe retired, Randall let Spyderco be the Colorado dealer.

Just to clear up a confusing matter. "Randall Made Knives" is the trademark of a small shop in Orlando, Florida that makes a line of forged fixed blade knives. Bo Randall, the founder of "Randall Made" was a great knife designer with a fabulous flair for publicity and salesmanship. "Randall Made Knives" are distinct from at least one production company that makes outdoor knives that are more in the mass produced, but still very good, category. "Randall Made" are considered by many to be both users and collectables. The other Randalls fit more into the user category.
