What are your preorders for this year?

#1

Post by DemskeetSkeet »

My collection is growing more & more but this year looks like my most expensive one yet. I prefer small, light weight, deep carry pocket clips but there are a few out there that I want that don't quite meet those requirements. Here's my list & I hope they all come out very soon:

Lightweight Manix Blue plain edge
x2 Stainless Steel Balance
G10 Native 5
G10 Cat*
G10 Chicago*
FRN Squeak

Those are all preordered but there's a few more:

Dialex Junior(I think this can be preordered from Knifecenter)
Walker's AIR(such a wonderful gentlemens folder, wharncliffe if I remember correctly).

So, enough about mine, what all do you have preordered and what's your "want to preorder," list?

Just one preorder , Ti fluted military. I am so new to Spyderco I don't have any anticipation. other than waiting for the mail man. Today received Navaja, large Chines Lum (wow), and large Persian.b All perfect as can be in fit and finish. Next should be Shempp Rock. I would like the military sprint but I know there will always be the ones you missed. So I have no regrets.

I'm considering the damascus delica, but I'm still not sure if I'm ready to spend that much money. If I do get it then it'll be my most expensive knife yet.

I feel you there.

I know it's a great knife(handled the 1st variation, Blue w/Damascus) but the price point is killer. Great price for the materials you'll be receiving with the knife but I feel there are better value out there in that price range.

I'd still love to have one(if it was 100 or less made then I'd definitely consider getting one).

Right now just the Earth Brown/CTS-XHP Military and CTS-B75P Manix 2, I usually only pre-order sprints. Recently received M4 Manix 2, 20CP para 2, and Zdp ladybug, Still pondering the Lionspy (would be the most expensive knife I've purchased). If the Tuff was a sprint I'd preorder it now, but it'll be regular production, so I'll get it when its available. I'll also pre-order the blue/M4 para 2, when it comes up.

Des Horn Folder. It was the first one posted by Wouter on the Amsterdam Meet thread and it has held my interest ever since. Love that blade shape!

Usually I pre-order only sprints runs, so my list is short: gray para, brown mily, damascus delica, orange Dodo.

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian

Earth?

I just use Bing and see what pop ups. Then, I look to see which dealer is selling the knife for least amount.

I don't have any pre-orders. All the knives I want are not going to be sprint runs, so my vendors aren't really taking pre-orders.

Chaparral, Schempp Rock and Navaja.

I also like the Junior but I'm not sure I can afford it this year.

Chapparal for me, from Howe's.

It's my first pre-order. Spyderco is the only knife company that I'd risk doing that

I have a few:

The Chapparral (spelling?)

The Tuff

The Ti Native 5

And just when I think that's all, something else pops up. There will probably be more as the year moves along.

The Dyad Jr. sprint. My first ever pre-order. The dealer I went through (Tom Berry) says they just shipped from Spyderco, so I should have it next week.... :)

I wouldn't bother with a preorder of a regular production knife, just sprints. And this is the first sprint run in a while that's interested me.

I generally buy **** near every one that comes out that is A) left hand friendly and B) Tip down clip position. If it doesn't meet those two criteria, it's immediately out of the running.

I rarely preorder anything. But I am definitely waiting patiently for the new ones to come out, specifically:

Lionspy (I want it but I'm still on the fence because of the price and combo handle)
Vallotton
Memory
Techno
Manbug (Not crazy about the grey handle or price but I'll get one at least)

Added:

Puukko (love the look of this knife)
Chapparal (I might get this when it releases with a different handle)
My :spyder:s
