Hybrid Dragonfly

#1

Post by redhawk44p »

Our fellow forum brother Dragonsbear did a interesting experiment. He bought a ZDP 189 Dragonfly and a G10 Dragonfly with a VG 10 blade. He then swapped blades. It worked perfectly now he has one awesome little EDC. Here is a pic. Please excuse the poor photography.

Thanks. Redhawk44p turned me on to spydercos a while back.
Best move ever. These are amazing knives. The "hybrid" was a fun experiment.
Redhawk is a good teacher. He also showed me what scary sharp really
Is all about.
I'm proud to own a spyderco. Truly money very well spent.

Turning you on to Spydies was like turning Charlie Sheen on to girls. I can't believe how many you have already.

I hope he also changed the lockbars as it might effect the lockup if the lockbars got switched. ;)

Good point.

Dragonsbear, you may want to consider swapping lock bars if this is the case. Lockbars and blades need to be of comparable hardness so that one doesn't grind away the other.
