VG-10 I’m sure you know is, by some accounts better than 440V. There is no doubt these are the two top steels to choose from however. For me, the Zowada is the clear winner! The Chinook is, based on weight and size, in such a different class. Personally I’ve rejected it entirely for EDC. Putting the Zowada against the Temperance would be fairer but why not just get both! Zowada is in my future, no doubt! For now it’s the Temperance, Salsa and Native with the Mili as an alternative for me.

Hey wiley sharp :
NEITHER seem to be in my immediate future <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
But, if I were you, it'd be the "Sh-thook" <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
( you know what I mean! <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>)
ATE <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Wiley,
Last I heard John was having Internet Provider issues. He posting a different web site for the interim. Try this, http://members.cox.net/johnfjensen/

What you guys think of the Chinook for an EDC around a farm/woodland. I've been thinking of getting it for my dad. He has a small farm and spends most of his time working it or his woods (cleaning camp sites, chopping wood, clearing trails, etc).
The Chinook seems like a knife even my dad would have a hard time breaking.
Thanks
