Yes, I see it more now. I just never made the connection before, as I only own 1 frame-lock currently. Anybody have info as to the reason behind an internal relief cut vs an external cut? Is it strictly asthetic? or is there a functional difference?

Some believe the lock bar cutout being on one side or the other has an effect on the strength of the lock under stress, or how the lock will behave during a breakage. But, the consensus seems to be that it really doesn't matter which side it's on, and is a matter of aesthetics and/or ease of manufacture.

Gotta agree with you here. Early proto pics dont always match production. Aside from that, Spyderco is collaborating with the designer, not making a pure Spyderco design. Lots of people didnt like the Leafstorm and wanted a choil to prevent nicking themselves on the end of the blade, but that was how Wilkens designed his model. I'm in for one!!Perry wrote:Wow,

In light of the near-debut of the Yojimbo 2 and the not-too-distant unveiling of the Orange Dodo, I somehow managed to overlook this beauty called the "Techno." Does anyone have any new info on this model? How about a tentative ETA?
