I just talked with Joan at Spyderco. here is the scoop:

1. They did not have all 500 knives.

2. We should have received our first. A mistake was made.

3. Production is taking longer than expected.

4. They will be sending the knives to the engraver the first part of June.

While I want my knife I am satisfied with the answer. All I wanted to know is if there was a mistake made for someone to fess up and tell us that they are doing the best to rectify the situation. Rico

I still will not see it for 1 more month. The reply Carlos gave was vague. No management person from Spyderco made a statement publicly on the forum. rr

Rico,

Almost sorry I got one first. NOT. Hope you'll be pleased when you get yours. I'd say be patient with the compression lock and the minimal lock recess. Hope your wait is worth it. It is a pretty knife.

Weekend yet?
