Not at all - it has a Wharncliffe blade and the compression lock, but the handle is entirely different (because of its intended uses). Part of what makes the SuperHawk/SuperLeaf such a fabulous knife is the handle. Change that and you have an entirely different knife. :spyder:

+1. I should have thought of that. Besides the Yojimbo 2 is hollow-ground, and I'd like a FFG SuperWharn. Afterall, Spyderco has got to to *something* with that S110V stock they've got sitting around. :D

I'd like to try out a Wharncliffe, but I'm not sure that the super platform is best for that. I think a lot of people who want to try out other blade shapes like the wharncliffe or hawkbill are looking for cheaper ways to try out those blades, and may not be ready to jump all in and buy a high end carbon fiber model. Maybe that's what happened to the Superhawk?
I like the idea of the SuperWharn. And a SuperRecurve, as well as a SuperSheepsfoot (or would that be a SuperRescue?) :)
I think a SuperRescue might be a cool idea, too. :) Recurves...I like them well enough but they seem to be the most dislike blade around. Even the modest recurve on the Benchmade 710 seems to attract a fair amount of vitriol. A SuperRecurve might make the SuperHawk look like a raging best-seller??? :o
