Mom got dinner prepared for her with my new forum Vesuvius (234) this evening. She was impressed with my kebabs and _finely_ chopped salad and such. I was impressed with the Vesuvius. :-)



One close call, but no blood. Always a bonus. ;-)

My mom got Ocean's 11, spydie bread knife, and serrated utility knife. I had to get her something to match the santoku. I almost forgot, I carved both the tri-tip steaks with the santoku, just the right thickness on the meat thanks to that scary sharp spydie edge polished up on a steel. Everyone was very impressed as always by by choice and use of knives.

I was saving the bread knife idea for x-mas. Shhhh.

My mom loved her new Civ, I got her a Mike Sastre neck sheath and she now wears it proudly. Mom lives in a rough neighbor hood, but now I think she's the roughest thing in it <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
