Jester Sprint
This is the Jester. I would leave it as is, just upgrade steel to VG10.The Deacon wrote: This little fella has been bouncing around on my key ring for over 7 years now...
I need two. Micarta is good.

sal wrote:Hi all,
There was a request and a thread on our making a Jester Sprint run. There were requests for a handle other than FRN.
My thoughts were to make the scales from G-10. Thoughts were for gray as a possible color as ther isn't much gray around. My question is; if we make gray G-10 scales for a Jester Sprint run, would you want the scales to be polished smooth, or peel-ply?
sal
Yes please! I'd take a gray G-10 handle however it's finished. I'd prefer a texture but polished is fine. Full flat grind possibly sir?
You do realize that the LBK3 handle came from the Jester? :D It's the same.RJNC wrote:I'd still like to see the Jester have an updated handle, like they did with the Ladybug 3.
So what's wrong with it?

It doesn't always show up well in photographs. For example it would be easy to miss it on the black FRN one below. However, AFAIK, all of them had it.dj moonbat wrote:I've never seen one with the jimping up by the tip. Nice touch for controlled cuts with such a small knife.

Huh. The jimping on the catalog and forum photos I've seen didn't show up at all. Definitely a good feature. The Deacon wrote:It doesn't always show up well in photographs. For example it would be easy to miss it on the black FRN one below. However, AFAIK, all of them had it.

I'd go for rough ... the Jester's jimping is all about grip so to have smooth scales seems to be going against the principles of the knife's designers :)
