How many people here have less than five Spydercos

I only have one :spyder: at the moment (with another on the way :D ) and I've given a few more as gifts to friends and family.

I have a feeling though that there will be many more in my future as soon as funds allow...

Doc, if I understand your question properly, I have less than five...of most models. The biggest reason is cost and redundancy. There is an awful lot of crossover between Micarta Calypso Jr's, FRN Calypso Jr's in VG-10 and FRN Calypso Jr's in ZDP-189, so it's tough to justify 5 of each. In my case, 3 Micartas, 2 VG-10 FRN's and 2 ZDP FRN's suit me quite well.

This is from a high point of maybe 25 at one time and 55+ over my collecting lifetime. Just had a change of pace and unloaded my collection over the past year. ****, I don't even carry a knife anymore just my Swisstool Spirit.

I'm down to 4 at the moment. I just last minute gifted one this morning when I tossed it into a flat rate box. I'm considering selling one more... I have been collecting a lot lately, and selling them just as quickly. I like to keep my numbers down on anything I own... just the bare bones which ones I like and use the most. In fact I'm on the fence right now contemplating selling one I just bought for a lot of money because I saw three new ones I want to buy (h1 hawkbill ladybug, native 5 and para 2). Lately I have been finding myself buying tons of spydercos for other people. Arrghhh decisions...

I'm seriously drooling over the Sage 2, but more likely I'll be adding a Tenacious or FFG Endura 4 to my collection in the new year.

While the bulk of my Spydies are predominantly work tools, I'm trying to keep my collection limited to 12. That being the 12 IMO "All time best of the best" folding Spydies so to speak.

Right now I'm at 10 ( backups don't count :p ) and there are still 4 or 5 knives I need :confused:

I have a Paramilitary S30V, Delica 4 ZDP-189, Caly 3 ZDP-189 and a Native 3 S30V. I've had others but i'm not a collector...if a tool doesn't get used, it gets moved on to someone who will use it, although this is getting harder and harder to stick to
