Improvement to my Military

Post by Brandon »

Not really. I work at an Army Hospital here in Hawaii and was taking a piece of equipment out of service because it was unfit for use. When we do this we usually cut the plug so that no one else tries to use it. I recommend unplugging any piece of equipment before you ut the power cord. OOPS! What does the Spyderco warranty say about general stupidity?

That blade will probably have to be reground... Carlos or Ryan will be able to give you an estimate from that picture, and you send it in for a more accurate estimate. If you want to proceed, they'll do their best.

That's the hard way to get a serrated blade!

:O)

Definitely adds 'character'

I feel your pain. I worked as an energy theft investigator and had to take down quite a few 'unauthorized' hot cords. I learned the hard way to strip the insulation and cut one wire at a time. No matter how fast you whack em that 'tricity is faster.

Looks like a candidate for a partial serrated section. I believe Mike Turber over at Bladeforums was putting Spydie style serrations on blades.

Disguised as a responsible adult.

Wow!! My eyes light up about almost anything co related but that's just a bit extreme! Dude, if you want to try tempering a blade, learn on a Camillus or a Gerber or something before moving up to a Spydie!! Glad you weren't hurt!! Hope you can get that ground out. Spydie edge looks pretty good in that area. Shaka, brah! Aloha!

STAY SAFE! Stay sharp!

That'll almost certainly need to be incorporated into a serrated section. You could grind it out, but you would lose an incredible amount of steel trying to make it plainedge.

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

Just out of curiosity, what was the voltage?

There is a thread addressing this subject in the Techno-Junkies fourum.

I feel for you, man. Looks like you'll have a serrated / combo edge. Now I wonder, would a ceramic blade act the same way?
