My first Delica

#1

Post by MANIMAL »

Just nabbed a Delica 4 VG-10 for $35 shipped from evilbay

After collecting and using about 7 ladybugs
( man I love all those colors ! )
....a green Jester that sits in a box
.....and my EDC white Dragonfly - I finally jumped at this Delica

I would have rather had gotten one of the colored FRN handles, perhaps a plain edge - but for the price Ill survive with this black FRN combo edge I think :)

+ i'm about to send my Dragonfly in for its first re-sharpening and I gotta have an EDC or Ill just feel naked - think this Delica will do the trick!

OK - just wanted to celebrate a bit on the new purchase - and im kind of excited to use the complimentary sharpening service for the first time too no my dragonfly!

i bet you wont go back to your Drangonfly.

youll also notice that the partly serrated part will keep its edge alot longer that the PE. i like CE and SE.

Good choice on the Delica. It's my second favorite EDC. My first would be the Aqua Salt!

There is are reasons that the delica is the flagship, and you will find them out. Enjoy an awesome knife!

The Delica is an excellent model. I hope you will enjoy it. So do you plan to buy a sharpening system soon? A Sharpmaker perhaps?

I had thought of it yes

It started as an innocent "hobby" , collect a few different colored ladybugs for "fun"

Now that I am choosing the Dragonfly and Delica as EDCs I think a sharpening system would be the next move

Congrats on your nab!
Problem is that once you have the delica now, you just keep going back at it all the time. Enjoy! :)

Thats what I hear! thankfully my love for the Dragonfly will keep it in my left pocket as the Delica will now be in the dominant right pocket - EDC 2 knives my wife asks? I say 2 is just the start :)

Delica was not only my first Spydie but my first real knife as well :)

Expect at least several hundred bucks to go missing as your new hobby flourishes.
