A friend told me that the Endura in ZDP-189 with the full flat grind is the best edge holder in the Spyderco brand.
Fact or fiction?

Am sure there are those who will argue that.
ZDP-189 is definitely the best edge holder among the steels I have used, but I haven't used several of the Crucible and Carpenter steels Spyderco has been using lately. Know several of them have been touted as better than ZDP-189, but I haven't tried them because the knives they're used in don't fit my needs.

Yes I tested one in Duratech 20CV and it's a lot like M390 with a slight difference in formulation, but IMO M390 holds an edge a little longer, both are great Super Steels though.tanrichguy wrote:Hi Jim,
I subscribe to your YouTube channel and your tests are great! Keep it up...
Any experience with 20CV? I would be curious to hear your opinion.
