I am still looking for the right knife to complement my Delica and wondered how this would be. Just any suggestions welcome.

I had a manix se, but traded it off. Great knife, but I never used it.

I have a Manix 2 SE . I was able to get it a little cheaper . probably because it is fully serrated. It is super strong and sharp. With practice you can open and close it one handed. It is a knife which you just like to hold and admire the details.

I have the CE Manix 2... love it... best of both worlds! The Manix 2 would be a great companion to the Delica. as its larger and tougher.

I don't have a serrated Manix 2, but this will give you an idea of it's size relative to your Delica...

I have a Maxix 2 se. In fact the 1 I have has Deacon's collector no. 043 on the blade.

I should use it more than I do. Its 1 of my go to knives I use for heavy

duty cuttin'.

Is that a FrankenDelica with purple scales from the FFG model on a ZDP blade?

No, that's an original Sprint Run ZDP-189 Delica IV with the blue/grey scales that came on it.

I spent a lot of time debating the edges before settling on which M2 I wanted to get. I was kind of leaning towards PE because I already had so many SEs, but after hearing that Golden serrations are the best performers I started to get curious and lean back the other way. In the end, I got the SE, and I have never regretted it. It has the best serrations I've ever used, cuts ferociously, but can still slice paper quite cleanly. The Manix2 is Great in SE.

I must compliment you on your use of the correct form of complement. I think an M2 would go fine with a Delica. They're very different knives, but would work well together as a more visible and "polite" primary knife/"brutish" backup team. I tend to carry a selection of three knives in small, medium, and large that gives a versatile choice of edges, and I like the range of options it allows.
