SpyderNut,
Um...did you read the thread closely/ thoroughly-and impartially? I was posting along and having a conversation with several facinating individuals and then KK and S-II proclaimed my thread and posts to be usless and pointless crap. Have I ever done that in any of their threads? No, never! And that sort of flaming of their's isn't hurtfull to one's feelings? Think about it young man. Tain't right to do so. They threw down the glove, let them suffer a reprise. Tuff love. You say "QUOTE" "*Looking ticked-off* Yeah! Like KK stated, you point out the faults of everyone around you, yet you hold
yourself in an elevated position above the rest."

Nope. I am just like you. Re-read the thread. They attacked me. I defended myself with logic. I am just a contributor to this forum like evryoone else. No More. No less. My posts hurt no one. This particular post entertained many. This thread took no more bandwidth than their (the attackers) fairly trivial posts of regularity.

Furthermore you say:" Is that even right?"
I say:
I suggest that you re-read the thread for a second, un-biased inturpetation my friend.
And you said
"As far as folks sharing stories about cuts and accidents, well Bud, it happens."
I say:
Like S-Nut-uh as a knife owner, I have not cut myself before? We all do. That wasn't the point dude. So don't try to defend the attackers. They were un-fair to me and to you. Unfair to freedom on this forum-as it stands. I merely pointed out the deep seated meanings behind this thread of posts. I felt I had to spell it out for the immature audience, to try to put out their flames. No offense to you. Not your fight. Stand aside <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

And you are quite welcome. I enjoyed your polite, civial post on my defensive post.

And Blades my friend, like so many things arbitrary, this post has reached the ripe old age of 55+, so I agree, it is eligible for retirement. Let's DO get back to serious knife topics. I don't consider getting back to the board of late "Normal". I seriously doubt you need much advice on purchasing knives; being a mature collector, nor care who stabbed themselves while watching Hogan's Heros re-runs. Wouldn't you enjoy more knife lore and less talk about off-topic trivia? I have nothing at all against youthfull entities, but thinking first/posting later is a good policy. Goes for me too. All that said... I don't like the negative bent this thread has taken, but once again, just having fun when the pipe bomb came over the wall. No hard feeling maintained. To the fans:

Two dogs baying, green dot's on, where I'm going I ain't saying, and yonder light announces a new dawn...

Gotta run a lot faster now...wish I had my ole' grey blade.......

I may be only 17 but I consider myself very mature, as do the adults I interact with. I have maybe posted two irrlelvant topics and I made one misguided statement about Mike at warranty repair that I thoroughly apologized for. I have not been initiating any threads because I have not had much to say lately or have had any questions that have needed answering. If you want to talk about the forum shirts I am waiting for one too. I was the one who said the is the final design, what do you guys think? I did that several months ago. This thread though has turned into a tactical one type topic or possibly almost as bad as hannibal.

*Inserting foot in mouth*

Mr.X,

All I can say is.....My bad.<img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

I really screwed up in my evaluation of your post. All I can ask is for your forgiveness for being so brash.....

Will you forgive me? I see your point now. Thanks for sharing, man!<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Whoa, for the second time today while reading the forum. I saw the beginning of this thread a couple of days ago and just have made it back.

Mr. " ," You're the man. This is a great post. It reminds me of two games we played in school, "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego" (Sp?) and "Where in the U.S.A...." When I was in school it was still a game, not a TV show. BTW, I get your point too.

Others, get over it. Lets try to get along. If you disagree with this thread, drum roll, don't continue to read it. 1) Say what you have to say, 2) Please be civil doing it, 3) Check for any responses, 4) Get on with your life/other <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> interests, 5) Let those who choose to read/participate do so in peace.

Just my thoughts. I'm in kind of a funky mood anyway, haven't had a cigarette since last Monday.

I hope everyone has a beautiful Sunday morning and a wonderful rest of the weekend, Pachucks

Thank you oh blank one!

Sometimes we need to take a step back and and look at ourselves and see if maybe we are taking ourselves a little too seriously. I enjoy this forum not only because of the “ones wise in the ways of the <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>" but because of the diversity of opinions found herein and the chance to experience life vicariously through the adventures and experiences of others. I’ve only been here a short while and I have to say contained here are people whom Ifeel I know or would like to know personally because of the unique flavor they bring to the forum. Where else can you go to learn of prawning and everyday life in Kuala Lumpur or relive the frustrations of being young and wanting more Spydies, X-boxes, or maybe just a little respect from “wiser” forumites who don’t always agree your posts are relevant. The point is, it’s all relevant, it’s all life, and it’s all about a group of dedicated enthusiasts coming together to share the wealth of their own experiences united by their love of Spyderco. Let’s not be so judgmental. Close this thread if necessary but don't close your minds. Let loose once in a while or just sit back and enjoy the show while others do.

Stay safe! Stay sharp! But above all, Stay tolerant!

O.K. now you did it!!!

Nobody and I mean NOBODY makes fun of Hogans Heroes. Werner Klemper (Col.Klink) is a fine actor, so is John Banner (Sgt. Schultz), Bob Crane, (although a bit "kinky&quot<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>as Hogan. Not to mention LaBeau and the rest!!!

What are you going to do next, make fun of the Flying Nun? Don't even go there! I'll hunt you down and eliminate you!!!

You have a lot of valid points... that's why I haven't been around until recently.

I enjoy all the good re-runs... It truly beats learning to work in a doctors world!!! <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

OK, I'll retract the slam on Hogan's Heros, and its my only concession and only because I know from reading his posts that Hoosierdaddy has a proven track record and has purchased enough blades to defend Fort Knox <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

I started this thread. Now it's dead. T'was fun while it lasted. Perhaps someone can start another fresh one and the good advice of Java will prevail. I just want to say one more thing about the "bad vibes" caused by this many faceted thread. Two and Two is four, and four is Eight and Eight is a cucumber. Who the heck wanted a cucumber to begin with? You? Not I.

One last thing: Yo Krazy, I was very carefully spelling out clues using the first letter of my new location each post. Hope you were playing along and writing down the clues.

So keep your ear to the ground and eye to the sky. Listen to "1984" by Jimi Hendrix with headphones...

Gotta split.........

The "Jig" is up! I now know who you are. R.L.
It took me some time, and a little detective work. Your secret is safe with me. Speaking of "Hook up" how was S.B. that weekend?

BTW your collector # does not rhyme with identity!

Watch out for those Black helicopters... Did you hear that?

I'm sorry you didn't make it this far my nameless friend. You might have helped me work on my boat and, when we rested, we might have spoken of the way things once were and lamented for days gone by.

"ya ya ya"
The above text was added by a hacker! Hmmmm... now this is the second time someone has assumed my non-identity and posted something cute, causing me to have to edit it. Mulder-is that you? The only funny thing I notice, other than the funny post, is the number of posts doesn't change when it happens. Could this possibly be an inside job?

BTW-Hoosierdaddy; Does too Rhyme with Identity! You must have me confused with another collector.

And Clay, Clay, Clay...What can I say, say say? Cyberspace is just frightening sometimes. It has been awhile since a splined a hull, but when you work on one of those craft you get instantanious feedback on your efforts; good or bad. Measurable results ain't bad, as long as there is forward progress. Then there is always that light at the end of the tunnel. Can you see it? A bright and shining light I trust.

Behind your shop there is a shrub,
and in a jar next to it, and sub,
there hides a treasure..
The only rub,
it's hard to measure,
but sure to bring thee hours of pleasure...

Gotta get going again.....

Java knows what is up!

SH-II,

Stirr that kettle, sting as a nettle..

The reviews are indeed mixed. I offer this humble missive to hopefully quell your plaint cry..

"Either you get it, or you don't."

I sure wish the now -famous "glasshartt manifesto" included merely one Grey Matriarch. Alas...I miss that blade... perhaps once I return to Centrailia....Hate to repeat myself, but gotta get moving...

SH-II

"And once again I asked the question this has ? what to do with spyderco knives? hhhmmmmmm??????????????????????????"

To slightly pary your discordant query, it may be tenuous but we all like <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>co knives....relax. Participation is optional. Kick back and enjoy the show. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
