Does it weight more then the PM1, PM2 has full liners right?

Mine will be here Monday, bought from knife center on June 14th.

Does the detent hold the blade closed well? Am concerned especially since they're using the new pivot bushing, and aside from the detent, there's not much friction holding the blade closed.

I honestly prefer the original. The clip looks like the Manix 2 clip, which never seemed to flow with any knife. It looks like someone just bolted a clip on the knife from spare parts. And the large lanyard hole... Dang it is so big it almost make it a Karambit. ;)

I think I prefer the original Digi-Camo version that is riding in my pocket.

Now of course I will HAVE to get one of the newer ones, and of course I will post a thread that says "gee, I have change my mind on the Paramilitary 2."

So just consider this post a precursor to that thread when it comes out. :)
Gotta agree with you bro.

I hate the clip on the Manix 2 and now the Para 2. On most knives (other than the Delica and Endura) it looks like it was put on as an after thought.

I like the original clip with the knife sticking up out of your pocket more. It's easier to grab.

I also hate the huge lanyard holes. I don't see a need for them.

I also don't like the pivot bushing system that the Manix 2 and the new Para share. I don't ever want my blade to be that easy to flick out.

I will not be buying one.

I am obviously in the minority.

Dave - 5.56 posted on BF that he believes the Para 2 has more closed retention than the Para 1.

I don't plan on flicking out my Para 2. But smooth action is always a plus in my book.

Holding them end to end they seem to be exactly the same length. Here's one more I forgot to post.

Bushbadger here is one more I took outside with the cell phone. You can get a better idea of the handle length.

Cant' wait for my Para 2 order. What I like about the new design is tip up or down carry options, plus the redesigned knife/handle where the top of the blade is flush when folded. I've snagged my Para a few times while pulling from my trouser pocket.

I really don't like the clip too much but I'm thinking I will appreciate it a lot more when I switch it over to lefty. :)

Cool. Can't wait to get my wife's response when I whip my new Para 2 out and there's 4 dead heads on the end of some rope hanging from it! :D

Alancamby: eBay BuyItNow, The weight feels the same to me, I don't have a scale

Jylong_away: The closed retention is significantly greater on the Para2. The lockbar holds pressure on the blade tang in the closed position. One of my only gripes because you can no longer fling the blade out while depressing the bar.

Mine too and it has a collectors number. The ones with the number and the 1st issue's (I think) only have 1 logo.
