Agreed with that. My 2005 forum version has a broken blade from someone carelessly using it as a pry bar :(

Never having handled one, still my favorite among all the models is the original manix. I like the li'l temp too. It seems like I don't have any of my favorites. :D

Lil Temp,and all Lum's knives.
I'd rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

I would love to see a sprint run of the original large Goddard in carbon fiber... or G-10

That is a beautiful large blade!

Wow! thanks for all the interesting replies folks. After some more thought, I'm leaning towards any and all Calypso Jr. models as my favorite discontinued. I'm lucky enough to have a micarta handled full serrated Caly Jr. and it may be my favorite knife. If I could find another at a reasonable price, I may actually carry one!

I was surprised I didn't see a bunch of calypso jr responses here. It's a great little knife. I jsut recently picked up a couple black ZDP sprints.

My favorite disco'd models are the lava and the captain. I grabbed a couple extra of each at discounted prices though, so I'm set

My favorite discontinued knife I don't own but it's a favorite non the less that
I will continue to try and find. It is the Spyderco Worker. I love the look of
this knife and it brings me back to a different era.
Use your blades in the kitchen, it's great bonding time!

Don't know about favorite, haven't been collecting Spydies long enough to make that distinction BUT....

I really want a hawkbill Ladybug and am pretty bummed that they are going for around 4x their original price on the 'Bay since being discontinued.

  • C44 Dyad
  • Chinook I
  • Massad Ayoob
  • Caly Jr
..... And obviously the Persians.

The original SpyderCard.

Thankfully I picked up the Byrd version before that was discontinued also.
