There is an awfully large screw above the clip screws , almost looks like some kinda lock.It is not a lanyard tube.Magnifying the photo could also show a compression lock , lots of noise when zooming the pic....It is a very long blade though...

Looks like a lanyard tube to me. That grip looks pretty weird though. Maybe it's Count Rugen's knife? Looks like enough finger grooves for a six-fingered man.

I think it will be in the same 'category' of knife *though maybe not price range* as Cold Steel's Ti Lite.

Isn't the Ti Lite a folding stiletto? That knife looks like it has a saber or hollow grind.

I like it a lot!
Compression lock, big blade, big handle, very MBC
It's better to be judged by 12 than to be carried by 6

Whatever it is, I welcome it! I have large hands that are screaming for bigger knives from Spyderco. That one seems to be of the larger variety(normal for me)! ;)

I meant in the sense that it has massive cool factor simply because it's a 6" folding sword.

+1 KNifebro: I have small hands that are screaming for a bigger knife from Spyderco...I like it...and I don't care if I have to use two hands on it at the same time...LOL....Doc :D

That thing looks beastly. I was wondering when Spyderco was going to start making some BIG folders.

Definitely not as big as a CS X2 Voyager, though I wouldn't mind a Spydie that large...

I vote for larger, more heavily built folders. There are a slew of smaller ones already available.

Yes we handled it at the A'dam meet and it is an impressive knife.

Would be the largest :spyder: folder.

Don't know if it will come to a production model.
