New Matriarch or an old Matriarch?

#1

Post by gac »

Which to choose.

You can either buy a sprint run Matriarch for $70-80 when it is released. Or, you can spend 300 FREAKING DOLLARS FOR AN OLD ONE!

I have an old one too and I refuse to believe they're selling for anywhere near three crisp ones. A fellow could buy two Civilians, a full tank of gas and stop off for an apple pie and coffee on the way home for that kind of money. Where have you been seeing those prices??

Unless and until some idiot hits the BIN button, that price is simply a figment of the seller's imagination. Given that it's already been out there at least 3.5 months it appears that, at least so far, even the idiots have shown an admirable degree of restraint.

anyone above who said they have original matriarch would be willing to part with there box? maybe a user and not a collector who doesn't necessarily need the box. i would certainly reciprocate, like 25 bux for an empty C12SBK box? i been looking for that box for 2 years now. no one is ever willing to give it up (i get it though) someday maybe... i was too stupid to save the box when i was a kid...
keep an ear open on other forums for me please. im not a member at alot of places. thanx

To be honest bud. What's in a box. You can always contact spyderco. Maybe they might be able to print you up a sticker and place it in a new box.

i will buy a new matriarch when they become available. I also have an "old version" but 300$ seems way over the top.
