Howdy Kahz! Welcome back!

I haven't e-seen Clay for a while, he went missing right around that flap about Spyderholic's signature.

Straight As, quite impressive. Go buy yourself a new to celebrate! Now, what else...

Not too much has happened, honestly. However, there's always plenty of reading for you to catch up with.

--PS-- Your Telepathy must work. I'm working on digging up the money for El Ratón as you read this!

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

Kahz,

Again, welcome back. Spydernut forgot to tell you that he also infected his brother with the virus. (I hope they never come up with an inoculation for it).

Thanks for the tips! BTW, I have been checking out Canadian knife laws and, apparently, knives that are opened via a hole on the blade are not illegal. I just don't know if there is a length limit. Can anyone shed some light about this? I don't want to have any problems when going through customs with illegal carry. I will appreciate any help.

Kahz,

Oh man, this doesn't look good....I just got done reading some Canadian knife laws and from what I read, any knife that has a blade length of over 2 3/4" is considered illegal when concealed. So, if I were you, I would just send all your Spydies down to the loving residence of one called Spydernut, in Indiana, so that he can keep them from getting you in any trouble.

**Leaning forward eagerly**

Well, it ALMOST worked.

Hee hee! Just teasin' Kahz.

If the knife is in your pocket and the clip and top end are showing,is that conceled? It would make a good arguement.

SpyderNut,

Nice try...

Well, this may be one of my last if not my last post for the next few months. I have limited time to plan the move so, once I am settled in my new hometown, [insert Arnold Schwartwhatever accent here] "I'll be back!"

Depends on the area, just like in the states... Saskatchewan is pretty easy.

6" fixed on the belt, completely visible, will get you less of a look than a 4" on thw belt with the bottom visible.

Basically:
-4" is allowed in the pocket
-6" is allowed on belt
-fixed should be nearly out in the open(I wear a vest and the handle is covered, sheath is visible)
-clip carry IS NOT concidered illegal
-NO AUTOS(I still have my LCC D/A)
-Don't show bootknives, might be illegal, don't know...

-cheap bylaw in sask at least: If you can prove peaceful intent, it's legal... Machette, peanutbutter jar, and bread anyone?

If you carry anything excessive, you have some explaining to do. Especially if they see a glint as a cop drives by(ie no swords).

The following link will take you to a reasonably plain-talk discussion of knife related legislation in Canada.

http://www.physics.mun.ca/~sstamp/knives/canada.html

Basically, concealed carry is not allowed - but a SAK in the pocket or clip carry isn't generally a problem.

Carrying a knife for "self defense" is not allowed - but for use as a tool is OK. Therefore it is a lot easier to explain why you are carrying an Endura than a Matriarch

Hope your move goes well! Most of the snow in S. Ontario should be gone soon - but not up here in the North

Oddly enough, my other post didn't show up, so I'll try again.

Kahz- I'll make sure to keep a spare gurney open in the SpyderAddicts Treatment Center (TM) for you! Pop on here if and when you get a chance, libraries are so convenient. Or, you could always beg access from some poor guy on the street!

Your civilizing influence will be sorely missed, but I'll try to maintain everyone's brittle sanity whilst you're gone!

G'day Kahz,

How're ya going? Nice to see you back again. I haven't been around much lately. I wandered off when there were all these peasants bleeding all over my screen and it's taken a while to find my way back. These things happen as you get older . Luckily I made it back in time to order a Forum Vesuvius. I haven't bought any other knives lately but I have just bought a share in a ski lodge in the highest resort in the pimples we call a mountain range. So you better work on your skiing in Canada so you can check out my lodge when you come to Oz (you are coming down here aren't you ).

Wow Kahz. I think you've gotten more posts than almost any recent thread I've seen. Cool.
