Where to trade/sell knives online?

I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but it's time to thin out some of my duplicate Spydies and reinvest in my collection. I'm wondering where is the best place to trade/sell knives online? I'm aware of BladeForums and The Cove at USN. Are the fees at these places worth it?

Thanks,
Ira

I'm not so familiar with USN but on Bladeforums you have to be a gold member to sell/trade in the exchange part, 1 year Gold Membership is 25$, it gets cheaper if you purchase it for 2 or 3 years.
IMO that's worth it especially if you have a lot of blades to sell and you also get all sorts of other goodies as well, plus you'll be supporting the community. :)

Knife-bst.com I check there every couple of days. Its a forum specifically for buying and trading knives. Its used by a lot of members here and has a very nice setup.

I would say that the best free forum to buy & sell production knives is JerzeeDevil. Ron LaBella is a great guy and a member here, too.
For custom knives, the best free forum is CK&G.

If you don't mind selling overseas you could also try the Dutch Knife forum;

http://www.messenforum.nl

Because of the literally huge price differences on knives between the US and the Netherlands there is good money to be made for Americans who are willing to sell & ship abroad.

You would need to register there first which is easy, but there are no fees involved and you can buy & sell in your own language in the international part of the forum.
So no need to learn Dutch, :D

And it's safe to say that there are quite a few Spyderco aficionados in the Netherlands as well,

Good luck, whatever you decide,

I've had good experiences with Knife BST.com Ira. There are some good deals to be had, you'll see a few familiar faces there too.

Ive been trying to sign up for Knife-bst for a few days but the security code is a pain in the butt.

The colours and abstract digits are hard to read.

Lots of Spydercos there.

These are the ones I visit and buy from:

Bladeforums.com ($25 yearly for gold Membership)
CPFmarketplace.com (Free)
knife-bst.com (Free)
Usualsuspects.net ($35 a year)
Jerzeedevil.com (free)

Bladeforums seems to get the most exposure but they are all great places to sell and buy from!

Here's my knife trading/shopping site list:

http://www.bladeforums.com
http://www.knifeforums.com
http://glocktalk.com/
http://www.cpfmarketplace.com
http://benchmadeforum.com
http://www.jerzeedevil.com

It would be nice if the Spyderco forums had a Buy/Sell/Trade area...

IMO Bladeforums is best.
USN is good but they have a higher member fee and only other paying members can look at the cove.
People do not have to pay to buy from you on bladeforums.

Least hassle free is the USN in my opinion. I like Jerzee as well. Ron is a very cool guy.

I like the fact that only paid members can access the buy, sell or trade forums. Keeps the riff raff out. $25 is a small price to pay for buying, selling and trading.

I hate the way BF is moderated, USN is much better.
However, the OP was asking about free forums...

Knifeforums and Candlepower are great free ones.
I have had good dealings on Glocktalk and AR15.com too.

Nope, can't do it. I figured out what all they were asking for during the registration process, but whenever you go to the next step, all you get is this Error message.

General Error
Language file ./language/en/en/common.php couldn't be opened.

Please notify the board administrator or webmaster: messenforum@gmail.com
Thinking it might be because I was asking for the English version, I tried again while leaving the default language selected.

Results? Same message except for "nl" inserted where it says "en" in the first message.

I've bought and sold on knife-BST.com, and although it was complicated to give credentials to them in the beginning, once accomplished, the deals there have been very well done, fair prices, and rock solid trading partners from around the world, IMHO -dp
