So, if your like me, most of the Protos were really drool inducing.

But, of all of them, which one are you MOST excited about?

For me, the Perin PPT is at the head of the obsession line.

Para 2.

I've been lusting for a Para-Military for some time now but have held out on word of the Para 2. Now that I've seen Wouter's pictures, I know the wait will be worth it. It's the closest thing to my "grail knife."

Para2, maybe SuperLeaf. I'm curious about the Zulu and PPT. The textured G10 looks really cool, but may make them too thick in the pocket for me. Also dig the Breeden rescue. Oh wait...you said just one...crap

Native, Sage and Mini-Millie. Each of these knives looks as if they have really come into their own with this generation.

Thats a hard ask...

in no particular order:
  • Superleaf
  • Matriach's
  • PPT
  • Para II
  • Caly 3.5
  • Balance

.... I like the look of Jen's design too, I'm a real sucker for curves but in reality they dont suit my needs that well.

2. Large Chinese (big and so sleek)
3. Jason Breeden Rescue (after the Captain I'll take just about anything designed by him)

Caly 3.5.

Always loved caly's shape, but handle is a tad small, so 3.5 is going to be perfect. Definitely getting one if it comes out.

They are all pretty nice but none really just grab me this year. The caly 3.5 is about the closest. Paramillie sprints in upgraded steels would get my attention. Nothing gets my attention like the thought of an M4 Millie, or the "tuff" though.

If sprints are done with numbers of only 3-400 at a time that frustrates me rather more than it excites me. I'm already tired of scrambling around trying to find knives, with pre order lists filled up a year before the release.

Should buy customs instead for all the trouble.

Sage 3, Perrin PPT, Balance, and Lum Chinese CF are all must buys for me. I wish the Sage 3 had the CF like the first Sage, but I'll get it nonetheless. Anso Zulu and Breeden Rescue are maybes.

Probably the biggest disappointment was the Damascus Delica4. I like the blue jigged bone, but am not thrilled with the Damascus pattern and find that the blue metal (titanium?) with Manix-style grip in the liners makes it look too busy. Instead of feeling classy and visually flowing, it looks like it was cobbled together from mismatching parts. Oh well, guess I'll just have to hold out for finding one of the original anniversary Delicas.

The Sage 3 and caly 3.5 really caught my eye, i'm a huge fan of choils and deep carry wire clips and not so much of liner locks so these fit perfectly (my current fav. folder and edc is my caly 3).
The Perin PPT is one of the less conventional designs that really caught my eye, interesting and unique details in the design.
