Can anyone tell me if one or more of the files in this set is the correct size to "redo" the standard serrations in a Spydie blade? I am of course referring to the Spydero model 400F set, listed in the 2001 PDR.
I currently use my 204 Sharpmaker to sharpen my serrated edges, but thought perhpas the company might make something specifically designed to fit their serration pattern. Failing this, does any other company make such a thing? It seems to me that I heard someone did...
Thanks for any help you can offer, Jeff/1911.

The 204 will work as well or better on serrations than anyone out there. The ProFiles set will work well, but angle control is better with the 204. Lansky supposedly makes a Spyderco serration sharpener, but after seeing it panned as not working well, I'd avoid it.
Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

It does do a good job, but the recommended method will eventually round the tips of the serrations. To maintain sharp points, you really need a file set that will fit it exactly. I agree that Spyderco should come out with something like this. The ProFiles come close, but not quite. It is possible to reprofile the serrations with a slightly larger file diameter. Then, you would have a perfect fit.
