and finally got me registered in the forum.

After a three week search here in Belgium, I

was glad I could find a Calypso Jr FRN PE in a German on-line shop.

Got it last week. Awesome cutting tool

12 years! That really shows that Spyderco is pure quality! If you like the SS Police (well I guess it's obvious that you do ) You should now get one of the new ones in VG-10 steel

Wow! I sure hope my Wegner Jr. lasts me 12 years... especially since they're discontinued.

I can guarantee you'll like the calypso jr... as long as it doesn't develop bladeplay like the one I returned :S But
I've been assured that I just got one of the very few duds

My dad has carried a SS Police for quite a few years now (not sure how many). The blade has a little play and the serrations are almost sharpended down to a plain edge but the knife keeps on working with strong lockup. This knife sees hard use on a daily basis and has lasted years. I keep offering to pick him up something new but he is pretty attached to his Police.

Tom S,
Welcome to the forum.
Have you checked out the new 50/50 Police S/S. Maybe you could get it for your father, you know birthday, father's day, St. patty's day .
If my son did that for me, I'd remember it for a long time.

Welcome Vanman and Tom.

Been carrying a Police for 15 years now. Seen enough use that the serrations are almost sharpened away! Hmm... probably gonna need a new one soon... The 50/50 sounds about right!
