Anyone else miss the Caly Jr.?

The Caly III is a great knife, but I find myself missing the good old light weight Caly Jr. Am I alone here? Wonder what the future holds for the Caly series...

Axlis, you just read my mind. I have three Jr's and and like them better then the Caly 3. I just love unlined FRN. It is getting harder and harder to find a all FRN knife.

I don't exactly miss it, as I use mine quite often. Great knife.

I like the Calypso Jr. Just recently got a burgundy one to add a little different color to my collection. Would love to have a grey FRN one next.

I miss it and I don't even have one - I want one. I can just see how it would be a great EDC.

- best wishes, Jazz.

Can't say I miss it since I use it all the time. I like the micarta and like the SE version as well as the PE. The AUS-8 works fine, but I'd probably buy a new one for a backup and for the upgraded steel. I'd love some different colors of micarta, also.

I HAD three burgundy ones, but lost one last year (i really hate losing things :mad :) . The other two are in mint condition, and I can't bring myself to use them. I really, really wish I had gotten a gray vg-10 one when they were available. If spyderco comes out with another Caly jr., I really hope for vg-10.

I dunno, call me crazy but I really dig the fact that Spyderco is adding liners to most of their line-up. The added weight just "feels good" to me.

Hope to add a Caly to my line up some day. The one I handled in a store felt great.

I don't carry mine because I am afraid I might lose it. They aren't easy or cheap to replace these days. I would still love to see another run of them...

I would love to see the Caly Jr. return. I know Sal said it would not return, but we have seen the return of some pretty specialized knives, so maybe there is a chance?

I don't care if it's VG-10 or ZDP I would buy one. My ZDP Caly Jr. is my wife's second favorite :spyder: , after her ladybug of course. :p

I have been carrying my Grey Caly Jr. for the past ..... 7 or so past years.... It never left my EDC line-up.

Being a teacher, I need something light, clip-less (even if I don't like it) and efficient.

The FRN Caly Jr VG-10 is ...................Perfect....

I even tried the PE D4 ZDP.... Not quite close...

Caly Jr is................Perfect?!?

Simon

Have I mentionned it's.......... Perfect???

I miss it for sure. I wish my big dumb head would have kept the 3 gray FRN Calypso Jr's in VG-10 that I had.

I love the fishscale pattern in the FRN and I love the blade. But I do understand why it left the lineup.

And...honestly, after having a Delica 4 (in any steel) reground by Tom Krein, it just doesn't matter. Get a D4 and have Tom Regrind it and you'll wish you had another. :)
