I just checked out the G-10 D'fly at the SFO. Sturdy is the best word to describe it I think. Feels quite a lot different to me scince I'm so used to my FRN versions. Full SS liners, screw construct, wire clip, G-10....Yeah thats my next purchase. :)

I hope those of you who are getting one let us know how you like it after a few weeks of use.

Good work Spyderco crew!

:spyder: Just ordered one from Knifecenter along with an etched Spin. I am thinking the Spins are sleepers and look forward to handling one of these.

Semi-hijack. I know very few people like the Spin, but for what I use it for, I love it. I use it for a moneyclip and its ergos are great for detail cutting and also for opening up boxes and stuff. Plus its really light and thin. Also, easiest knife to thumbflick...

G-10 D'fly and FRN Stretch are en-route as we speak. Can't wait. Getting anxious. Impatient. Flipping Baliyo pen to try to take my mind off of it. Not working.

ordered mine from Cutlery Shoppe to be shipped with my preordered Ti Millie. saves additional S&H costs, I don't mind the wait.

First and most noticeable is it feels more solid. I am sure that is because of it's additional weight which is very noticeable.

I like to carry small knives and I carried an FRN Dragonfly for years so it feels quite natural to me. Suppose you could say I am Dragonfly biased. lol

What I don't know yet is how it carries in the pocket. I want know that for a few days.

That's great looking! Thanks for posting the pics quickly!!! Is the handle's thickness the same, not including the clips?

Thanks,
Ira

Thanks for the pictures Sam! Awesome D-flys you have there.
I am really looking forward to this G-10 version.

Quick hijack:
Just wanted to mention regarding the Spin - I am like Pneumothorax. I love the Spin! Even though it is only a 2 finger knife, I can get an amazingly secure grip - I also have a lanyard on mine for additional grip. And the blade is a great precision cutter with a wide flat grind - cutting satisfaction! :D
I hope you enjoy both knives, Ed.

Now back to D-fly discussion...

I currently have a white FRN and it has gradually become one my favorite knives. I am very interested in this G-10 variant... It really looks like a winner!

PM sent on Spin

Great comparison pic with Urban, by the way. It is hard not to compare the Urban with the new D-fly.
