this is a funny story.... the last time that I had an endura, i accidentally had it in my back pack @ school from a vacation that the family had taken. anywho, I took it from the pack and put it in my beltline of my pants where noone would notice, and I could take it home at lunch. however, when I went to use the bathroom, I took off my pants and without thinking, my endura got caught by my pinky and fell into the toilet.... and then the wait.... I sat there and stared at it for a minute or two, then it occured to me that it was my Endura that was at the bottomn of the sea, and i gained the curage to reach in and grab it..... eeeeyuuuuuuuk.

A tough decission, but I think you made the right choice ...... just <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Is that a <img src="http://spyderco.com/forum/spyder.gif"border=0> in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me ?

Yuck!<img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> That would be the pits.

I once had something similar happen to me at home. Only my Calypso didn't actually go scuba diving. (Thank God!)<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> I would have gone in after her, as I couldn't bear the thought of losing such a close companion.<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Ya' did the right thing, man.

It's odd that you mention that because I have had a fear of the exact same thing happening to me, luckily it hasn't <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

LOL!

As a juggler, I can relate... you see the only full size mirrors in my house are in the bathroom. I'm come pretty close to sinking expensive props in a toilet, and yes, some have fallen in :S

Now the question of why exactly Spyderholic was playing with a knife on the toilet comes up...please, don't answer! <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

You could lose a valuable knife that way, in addition to the humiliation.

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

Ha! I have learned to always attach some kind of floating crap thing to a lanyard on my knives when around water deeper than a foot! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Then all I have to do in a situation like that is reach in and grab the lanyard with my Swiss-Tech MicroPlus! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

After all, it's just a bowl full of water. You retrieve, you wash up and you move on.

What choice did you have anyway? Attempt to flush an Endura?

Jeff.

"THAT'S NASTY"

Thank god it was just your own crud! Hope you flushed first the knife would never get past the trap-

Now the porta potty thing-it would have to stay, ain't no knife worth that......The little stinker pump truck guy could have it, it would make a good tip!!

Can you still smell it, wiley? <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
It's a nasty job, but I'd have done the same.

I'm not sure that "floating crap thing" is the best descriptor in the context of the current conversation <img src="http://dburke.home.texas.net/pictures/puke.gif">
