Great thought, Sal. Another version Ive read about and thought about that really drives the message home - the Saturday Marble Jar. You estimate your remaining years - for me lets say I live to 85 and Im 48, so that 37 years. Mutiply that by 52 saturdays per year = 1924. I would buy 1924 marbles and put them in a jar in the kitchen. Every saturday, you take one out. The idea is that you can see the marbles decrease and you know you have to make every Saturday (therefore anyday) count. Its a great way to focus on this, but I really dont want to think about when the jar doesnt have many marbles left. Focus on the journey, not the goal. Easy to say, hard to do.

Hope you can enjoy lots of more active summers Sal.

My grandfather is in his 90'ies and was sailing in the North sea last week. (crazy old man btw...)

The 7th? Wow, my friend's nephew was born that day, just 3 days ago.

Happy (belated) birthday.
