Spyders YOU want to see made

#1

Post by ColonelX1 »

what kindof spyders do you want to see in the future?

im thinkin a ladybug with either a wharnie or hawkbill blade or wave and a clip, a Cheaper FRN UkPk or Caly 3 or urban, a mini delica(think halfway between ladybug and delica), and a cheaper version of the Leafstorm( as you can guess im low on funds for the moment :p )

so what would you want made?

Cheers!

Lil'Temperance 2, or some kind of heavy duty folder with a compression lock that is not much bigger than the Lil'Temperance or 83mm Manix.

An H1 Native with a yellow handle, the black-bladed Native with the orange handle, the black-bladed Native with the toxic green handle (see USN forum knife), the black-bladed Native with the tan handle .

And then, do it all again with the Native III.

That's pretty much it for me right now. Can you tell I like the Natives, hehe?

Salt fillet folder. How awesome would that be? Maybe a Salt with an up swept blade? I heard someone talking about a proto "Sailor Knife" which sounded nice to me. How about a Salt knife in some old blade shape (brain fart! chokwe, barong, etc.) :p

Sorry I got to carry a serrated Salt 1 today. I love H1 steel!

Police 3 in a ZDP sprint. Same everything, just change the blade steel. Joe

Matriarch with Endura IV handle.
Police 3 in laminated ZDP would be gorgeous.

"El Tigre"
Folding knives can be classified in two large groups: Spydercos and the rest!

definitely full flat ground salt and pacific salt (pe)

also maybe a more affordable military with a cheaper steel, i'd love a military (a knife that size weighing what it does is amazing) but can't afford one right now

Military with a drop-point blade, something like the Khukuri's blade (but not 'bent'). More non-locking "slip-its". More G-10 handle colors, how about a nice dark blue?

My "love story" with Spyderco knives is pretty new, but over a short period of time during which I bought 11 Spydies I have reached the following conclusions:
- for me there is no better blade shape than Spyderco's FFG leaf-shape;
- 3" is a bit small for me both in terms of blade size and for the resulting handle size;
- I just love the nested compression lock;
- I can't get enough of exotic steels and I would love an S110V model soon;
- my favorite scale material is the CF of the Sage.

Given those preferences, I would love a 3.5" FFG leaf-shaped blade made of S90V or S110V with a handle similar to the Superhawk's, including the nested compression lock.
While I wait I'll take the Sage II, the Ti Millie and the Manix FFG S90V sprint run...

I already described mine in another thread. Boils down to a Spyderco version of an Emerson SARK, with bells on. In H1, of course. And no wave.

I'd buy a Remote Release if it had an H1 blade.

Why yes, I like H1.

I'd like to see more orange FRN knives, more FFG, more H1, and more waves.

I'd love a waved FFG orange FRN Delica 4 in H1, and/or a similar knife bigger and more bellied (but still slim!) than the Pacific Salt or Military. I like the shape of the D4 handle more than the D3 used in the Salt series. How about I take the ZDP FRN Stretch in place of that Delica and just get the big knife?

I also like plain backlocks more than compression locks, although I'll probably try out a caged ball lock at some point.
