In a pinch.......

*Sighing*

I really dislike it when I get in a jam when I'm trying to make up my mind between a few different Spydies. Argh! I have it narrowed down to just a few canidates. I will now call on the power of the FORUM, (moment of silence), and see what direction I should take. Which one first?

Thank you, noble Spy-kin!

Choices:

1. Starmate PE

2. Mouse PE

3. G-10 Harpy SE

4. Military PE

If you can get a G-10 Harpy, jump on that one. It's a hot item, and very rare. After that, the Starmate and Mouse, since they're discontinued, but a little more plentiful than the G-10 Harpies. The Military can pretty much be bought at your leisure, at least at present.

SpyderNut,
Think you are getting too many knives. Is my envy showing? Do you have another occasion? Hope you are healing up. Is that it?

You "obviously" need them all.

Get the Mouse, Starmate, Harpy, and then the Military.

Hmm.

I agree with Kahz. You DO need all of them.

The Mouse & Starmate are my current EDCs.

I'd get the Mouse first, then Starmate. I don't know how much longer the Mouse will be available for about $75. Vince @ Bladeart or Blade-Tech.com would be your best bet here.

The Starmate is a work of art. I'm partial to the combo edge but the plain edge is just as nice. Because it's discontinued, I'd pick that one up next. You'll find it hovering around $100 or so.

The G-10 Harpy is something I'm looking for. Haven't been successful but I also haven't put too much effort in to it. I'm still saving beans for the Perrin & Salsa Ti. Because the G-10 Harpy is already scarce, and probably at a premium price, it would be third on my list.

Lastly, would be the Military. It's in current production and is widely available. Good news for combo edge fans. This year, the Military, Police & Endura will be available with a combo edge. I hope to pick up one of each.

Good luck in your Spydie quest.

Thank you, men! (And Kahz!)

Drum roll, please:

I just ordered the Mouse from BladeTech.com for $74 dollars. I came to the conclusion of getting this one first because I saw a place where I could get the G-10 Harpy for $69 and the Starmate for $94. I will be getting these right after the "Big Brown Truck" passes my house with the Mouse. You are all right: I DO need them all!
Thanks everyone!

BTW Jaxon, I DID have another "incident" the other day. Strange that you mention that....
I was out with my chainsaw trimming up some fallen brances when I had the bar come back and take a notch out of my left boot. Oops! Thank heaven for heavy-soled boots!

Rookie- Maybe that was Spydernut's kidney I saw on eBay a few weeks back...

As for the Mouse, I definitely will be getting one, and soon. This time of year does tend to empty one's pockets, though...

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

SpyderNut,

Get the G-10 Harpy, I didn't realize they are so rare. I guess I'm going to have to make mine an "EDS" (every day storage)... Just kidding

If you get a Military get the ATS 34, I like these better than the 440 V.

Can't comment on the Starmate or Mouse, although I do want a Starmate... someday!

Sharp1,

Are those lottery numbers? I see you got the "Mega" number! If I use those and win do I have to split it with you? For those outside California our state lottery is 135 mil. and no one got it on Wed. Sat. lottery is expected to be 170 to 175 mil. So all you "out of towners" stay home and don't play "our" lottery, cause I don't want to change my odds from 1 in 18 mil. to 1 in 18 mil. and 1. **** I was only six numbers off (all six)
That would sure buy an awful lot of Spydies!

Great choice SpyderNut. Hope all goes well with your hunt for the Big Brown Truck. They can be quite elusive!

*looks around frantically, feeling guilty*

Hi Kahz,

Uh, I know I put here somewhere, ummm, I think I left it on my uh, other computer, yeah, that's it.

I know, I know. Baaaad, Lsaulog. I've got some free time this weekend so I'll be sure to post my thesis on the Mouse real soon. Funny, I just noticed that you and I recommended the same knives in the same order. How's your studying going? Hopefully well.

We good Jaxon. Hope you enjoy the Jester. Micarta is awesome, especially the nice "snick" it produces on come-out.

Hello all!

Yes, I do miss my kidney....*winks at Sword and Shield* but, it sure was worth it! Hee hee!

Rookie:
Well bro, I usually "acquire" my funds by working hard, long, grueling hours for my boss in construction. In fact, today was payday! Yippee!
We do a lot of remodeling of semi-new houses that were repo'ed by the bank, fix them up, and then my boss sells them for a reasonable price. I get payed well because I'm a "sub-boss", which means that I am over some of the apprentice workers that we hire.
There is a down side: We sometimes have to work 12 hour days, 6 days a week....(but not too often)

Kahz,
Hmmmm....You know, I believe that I might go ahead and get the Starmate while I'm waiting for my "little buddy" to come in!
*rubbing hands together*
Hee hee!

Well, I'd better get some sleep before I doze off...zzzzzz
