I don't expect anything until it's ready to ship.

But Sal did mention on another thread that it's a few weeks away. I'm a big fan of the original, so I can't wait to see this one.

Does anyone know/recall if the handle shape will be the same as the original Temperance?

Brown canvas micarta sounds very nice.

I heard about it for the 1st time yesterday. And know nothing at all.
As its being released in "weeks" I thought someone might know something?
Nice surprise I guess. :)

I'm an admirer of Spyderco's designs. Using them is like immersing yourself in music or studying a painting in a museum. I buy some "fine" art but my preference is for usable art.

Average "street price" for Spyderco knives from US online dealers runs between 65% and 70% of MSRP.

I carried the old one for quite a while before I grew my spare tire. Now it doesn't fit as well IWB. The only issue on the old one was the flare for the thumb in reverse grip. Even then, it wasn't too much of an issue.

"Nice surprise I guess"

(Wonder if its ZDP & CF?)
(S90v & Micarta?)
(Made in Golden?)

Just thinking out loud, looking at the MSRP

Forgot I read this in another post:

"brown canvas micarta scales. Full flat VG-10. Boltaron sheath"

I picture a big "Street Beat" of sorts now........
Cant wait to see it!

Just a mindless bump, as the Forum knife and this one now has my un-divided attention. :)

Maybe because there is so much mystery surrounding these two?
Who knows..........

Temperance 2 in SE I hope

#18

Post by JD Spydo »

I had heard over a month ago that the new Temperance 2 model will indeed have a 5 inch blade. I'm not sure of the blade steel although I assume it will be VG-10 which is fine by me because my original Temperance blades are VG-10 and they are superb.

I've yet to even see a prototype and I'm anxious to see what type of sheath that they are going to have for it.

Needless to say the Temperance 2 will be on my "Gotta-Have" list. I surely hope it's available in SE like the original Temperance was.

The fixed blade was always Temperance. The folder was smaller and was the Lil Temperance (which I happen to have in my pocket as I type). :)
