Need Advice: SS Delica or Calypso Jr.?

#1

Post by PsychGrad »

I feel the need to pick up another spydie. I have decided on a P/E delica or calypso jr.

The use would be nothing extravagant, just an edc. I'd like to hear what the spydie guys and gals think. Thanks.

I say go for the calypso jr. as they're discontinued, and will soon be hard to find

I go with Calypso Junior also:

1.It is in VG-10
2.It is discontinued

From what I have heard, the s/s Delica is not being upgraded to VG-10, just the FRN model. The s/s model will remain in AUS-6 blade steel.

Ahh Yes Jeff you are right <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

I must have "skipped over" the 'SS' in his post <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

As much as I like my SS Delica, I'd recommend the Calypso Jr. also, since it has been axed. Later on get the SS Delica.

Thanks, I was thinking the same thing. I'll go with the Calypso Jr.

Tough call, two of my all time favorites.
On balance I would go with the Calypso Jnr. I think my attraction to the SS Delica is partly looks (**** fine looking knife), and partly sentimentality, it was my first Spydie.
