Endura 4 PS, from another blade forum member for free, because he felt it was ruined. I ended up giving him a Sog Twitch in return. I definitely got the better knife.

I recently got a NIB (1997 model i think) FB01 moran, mirror polished, convex edge, leather sheath for $56 AUD. I'm not sure what they generally go for these days but that seemed like a steal to me.

The best "deal" I got was with a trade. I bought a used but perfect Manix2, 154CM, black blade for $50 from my son. I made two sets of G-10 scales for it, blue and orange. Those scales really made the knife look nice, especially the orange IMO. I had posted pictures of the knife and someone saw it with the scales I made and asked if I wanted to sell it or trade for it. I hadn't planned on letting it go but the guy had a Gayle Bradley that he didn't use and really wanted the Manix2. I traded the knife and both extra set of scales for the GB. So, all the money I had in the Manix2 was $50 and the price of the G-10 ($20?). My time of course but I don't count that since I did it for fun. The GB was in perfect condition and has become one of my favorite knives. The other great thing about the trade is the other person was equally happy. Honestly, I wouldn't have traded but I have the M4 Manix2 also.
So actually, money wasn't the driving factor in the trade. It was just that he wanted something I had and I had wanted a GB for a long time but never bought one because I didn't know if I would like it.
That was the only knife I ever got that was a great deal for me. Of course if I did charge for the time I spent on the scales I'd want at least $25 per set. So the money that the other person paid for the GB was probably less than a Manix2 and two sets of scales would cost. I think $25 is a low price for a set of scales. My scales didn't have any fancy carving or shaping and I don't think they were as perfect as other people can do. They were shaped just like the original ones. So it worked out great for us both.
