...2009 "Reeve Integral Lock" Edition. Aside from observing that the good folks in Taiwan really did themselves proud on this one I will allow the photos speak for themselves for a while and post my observations later.

Long as you can get them to hate me, and not you, it's all good. :Dspydercofanatic wrote:And I just found the item that will cause my wife and family to NOT GET ANY CHRISTMAS!!!!! My family will love you Deacon :D when will it be avalible
No idea of when it will hit the shelves, you'll have to wait for Sal or Kristi to answer that one. For that matter, am not even sure if this is the production version or not. :o As with the Native IV, I was merely given the honor of getting loaned this one so I could take these photos.
Nope, no G-10 either. :prycen wrote:No CF?
What can I say, Sal must have the serenity of Buddhist monk. No matter how he build's 'em, someone wants it different. Very often me. :D Seriously, I believe one of the parameters for the Sage series was for each to duplicate, to the extent possible, the construction of the "iconic" example of that lock, which I'm assuming in this case to be the Sebenza. But I could be wrong on that.NoFair wrote:Looks great Paul :D
Think would have liked it even more with CF or micarta on the non-lock side.
Nice to have some new wants :)

Yes, that's the soon-to-be-released Native IV. More pics of it in this post of this thread.anthonyc wrote:second knife from the bottom. is that a cf native?

Wonderful pictures Paul!
I got to handle a prototype of these many moons back and was extremely impressed. It reminded me of a custom shop Kimber 1911... Just very well built, and solid as a rock. I never cared much for the first sage, but this one I may have to get.
Let us know more about it when you get a chance.

A very, very nice piece.
I do like it even more than the first (CF) variant. It is so simple yet appealing, and the blade and the titanium go together very nicely. That one is very likely to join my collection, more than the original, which was too close to my CF Caly III to really being a must-have for me. This one is different; I don't own a Ti (coated Al?) massive handled knife (ok, got the R2), and no frame lock besides the Volpe. Speaking of that, it seems that the lockbar on this one will opeate much easier than on the Volpe because of its length.
I like it very much!
[The only thing I am not 100% happy with is the style in which "Spyderco CPMS30V" is lasered on the blade. Don't know why, but I like the "normal" way better. Go figure.]
...and now for the details! Deacon, chime in... and reveal to us how you could get one so early! (Let me guess: Sal was nice and let you introduce it to us, just like the prototype Persians... and the Native 4 while we're at it :) )
[EDIT: Some answers already given in the meantime.]
