Play on a native....

#1

Post by mjsnative »

My question is have any of you guys/gals had the blade develop play after a little while? I have had my PE Native for about a year now and it is one of my favorite blades but it has developed a small amount of side play. I have not used it very hard at all and the play is just enough to drive me crazy. So what, if any suggestions would you have to cure the problem?

Give the pins/ rivets a light taps to compress them a bit more if it is only side to side play.

Otherwise if it is still safe to use then try to ignore it. If it gets too annoying then smack them as per above. Or else the best way is to 'invest' in a new one :D :p

I was wondering about that, I did one of my slip joints that way. I guess it is worth a shot, got nothing to lose right? :spyder:

If you feel its a real issue, you could always contact W&R. Or as Daniel mentioned see if you can't snug it up yourself. A ball-peen hammer works best. Gentle taps- its harder to undo than to do.
