What, uh, what just happened?

Post by RebelZero »

What is it about these knives? I just got my first Spyderco, an FRN Endura with full SpyderEdge, 5 days ago. I made a post about it. 5 days ago. F-I-V-E days.

Today, I wake up and I've got three of these **** things. I just got my first one, how the **** did I end up with 3?

Suddenly I have the original Endura, a PE Native, and an ATR in SE. What just happened? What kind of freaky addiction is this?

I had a Benchmade thing for many, many years. At its peak I think I possessed 5 of those critters. Now, in a paltry 5 days I've amassed an inordinate number of these devilish little devices.

Uh, help?

At first glance, it would appear that you stepped into a glitch in the space-time continuum, fell into a black hole, and reappeared with the 3 Spydercos in question.

As to why...I cannot say! ;) :D

No. I refuse to help you. It's an addiction you can enjoy! :D

The only temporary cure for me is to focus my money spending in other places, like my money absorbing car :D Come to think of it, it's been about four months since I last bought a spydie... I should really start looking

Hmmm, that explains a few things ;) :D

I've noticed a rather interesting phenomenon (spelling.....:confused :) - when I got to a local dealer, I tend to buy only one even if they have several that I might want. I go online and it's two or more :p

Lee Valley Tools is even more bizzare - when I go with a list - I usually come out with what's on the list. If I go "looking around", somehow it costs $80 or more

Kristi - you had it right the first time {support group}!! I now only have a Dime to my name - any Spydies out there that I can spend my last Dime on ? Question: can I take my Spydies with me when I go - or I to really leave them to WhiteFeather - oh what a horrible nightmare. Any advise would be appreciated ! Ah, and here all along I thought that was excess lubricant in the pivot areas. Didn't realize :spyder: s oozed pheromones. :)

Anyway, makes you wonder what'll be waiting for you the next morning when you get out of bed. Perhaps there's a :spyder: fairy. :) Enjoy your :spyder: s!

Welcome to Spyderco !

You are beyong help , and your scenario reminds me of mine a couple of years ago. Only I started with a mere Ladybug, then BAM !!!! Chinook II and Native III PE were next to it within a couple of days :p

The rest is history for me. I have had the pleasure of owning, using, fondling and spreading the Spyderco addiction to a fair few people in real life and in this forum :D

My advise to you is to either:
a) Relax, let your wallet free, and enjoy the addiction
b) Do NOT enter the Picture Threads board, and enjoy what you have
c) Sell everything and find another addiction

But if you decide to stay a bit longer, then everyone in here will at least understand you if no-one else can/ will :)
Cheers
