So I'm getting a great deal on a used black Paramilitary

$75 shipped (negotiable)...just sent to the Spydie Spa for a resharpening and touchup...blade slightly off center, perfect lockup. Should I snatch it up? How's the compression lock?

The compression lock is one of the strongest locks Spyderco makes. I love my Para's, they feel great in the hand and the blade is a great size. The S30V is good to go too. For $75, depending on the condition after the trip to Golden, I'll bet it would be a great user.

I'm trying to negotiate for a $65-70 price point...David sold brand new paras with a damaged tip for $75 (ie, unused), so I beleieve it's fairer. (am I low balling the offer?)

I dropped two of my Para's taking them out of a case I have. YOU can see the entire thing on bladeforums if you like. Too much to type here. They were brand new in box.

The guy bought one of them off me and then tried to make a profit. I have seen the thing going around blade forums. I have no idea why it needed to be sent to Spyderco for sharpening and other stuff. I retipped the black one. Maybe he's talking about the other one.

If it is my old satin finished one and it still has never been used I would snag it up. It really was brand new other than a broken tip when I sold it.

Honestly, I have no idea who the previous owners were...he said he was the second owner...a guy named Johnwaynesandw had it altered by STR (reground it to 30 degrees). It had nothing to do with David...I brought it up because (I think) he asked for $75 for a brand new para...I'm getting a used para with marks in the coating for the same price...wondered if it should be lower.

LOL. That's the exact guy I sold it to. As you can see in his pics the knife is still brand spanking new other than about 1/16" of the tip is busted off.

Also, the third YouTube video he lists is mine. It's of one of my current black bladed Paramilitarys that I still do own.
