Today, 8/8/08, I have my Mini Persian clipped to my RFP, Subclaw loose in my RFP, SE Tasman Salt clipped IWB and my CE D4W in RBP. I'll probably switch it up again tonight when my Kris arrives. :D

I'm an admirer of Spyderco's designs. Using them is like immersing yourself in music or studying a painting in a museum. I buy some "fine" art but my preference is for usable art.

Green Chinese Folder. I switch between that and a D4. Of course, all of that will change if and when my ZDP Chinese Folders come in (#16 and 64 on reserve with my dealer).

RRP - D2 Para
RFP - D'Allara PE

I've been carrying these lately to compare them directly. I think the way it's going to work out is that the lighter Para is going to be my "summer time, elitist, conceptual type" knife (with the capability of performing at a high level when required).

The D'Allara will stay as my "anytime beater" ... it's VG-10, stout blade, ball lock and ultimate grip handle are so familiar ... I trust it to shrug off moisture, blood&guts, etc. more than I do the D2 Para as yet. I should get another BIG D before they're gone. I fixed it's broken nose last night on the grinder (with quenching ice water between visits to the wheel). I think the resulting iconic straight spine to a sharp tip (a la Delica, et.al.) epitomizes the "Spyderco look" almost as much as the hole. Anyway, when I look at it today ... I like it ... it seems "sharper" ... :D . And I'm glad to have it with me.
