Where did this come from? I've never heard of it before, but there it is in the AG Russell catalog.

These are very nice small knives made by Fox out of Italy. They are done with authorization from Spyderco. The supplier also makes the Volpe. I picked up, (bought), both from the Italian Fox display on the last day of the Shot Show in Vegas. Very small but rather nice. Sal was not sure if they were going to make it over here because of the cost. I guess they did. I actually like them more than the Volpe.

Wow, that's really wacky!

spyderwa, would you be able to post comparison pictures or just a general review/comparison? I am curious how the ergos feel on the SpyFOX. How many fingers can you fit on the handle? I'm assuming it gives about a 3-finger grip? Is the clip similar to the Volpe?

I think it's a rather cool looking knife. The only real thing I had against the Volpe was that it was rather big, I might need to look into this one closer :D

So those are AG Russel exclusive versions of the Volpe?

The SpyFox is a collaboration between Fox Cutlery and Spyderco. The collaboration was initiated by Fox Cutlery and they are the manufacturer of the SpyFox. AG Russell has an exclusive with Fox for the two variants shown. Please be aware that any warranty issues will be handled by AG Russell, not Spyderco and as an AG Russell exclusive, they will not be available as part of our Collectors Club.

Hope this clears things up a bit.

Great find! I know the A.G. Russell versions of the Horn shot up in value, I wonder how these are going to fare.

How many of these are going to be made?

They look nice. Size a little smaller than Dragonfly. It would be great if somebody post better and larger pictures.
Price is not bad at all, considering Italian made fit & finish. Also wood.

Silly me,
I thought this thread was about that animated 007 spoof of a spy that my kids spend so much time with on the computer.

Mini Volpe models? Seems that besides the size only difference between the Volpe and SpyFox is the dip in the spine of the Volpe and the bug cutout? The mini size does look nice.

Interesting.

I just measured mine. 3" handle, aprox. 2.25" blade. Think Dragonfly or Cricket size. Clip on the back. I will try to post some pics later.

Sorry to bump up an old thread, but I was thinking of getting one of these, and can't find decent pics anywhere... Any chance you can post some?

So I ordered the SpyFox and it arrived late last week and thought I would share. I have to say it's MUCH smaller than I realized. I guess I wasn't paying that close attention. You can see by the pictures they are about the size of a Kiwi or a Kopa. worth the $80+, you decide. I haven't decided yet but it may be returned from where I bought it. It's a nice little knife, just not what I was expecting I guess.
